Being a writer is a very peculiar sort of a job: it’s always you versus a blank sheet of paper (or a blank screen) and quite often the blank piece of paper wins.
― Neil Gaiman
Here’s the thing about writing that not everyone knows… it’s hard.
It’s a craft and a skill that needs to be practised, learned, honed, refined and constantly worked at.
It’s rare you find a writer that can sit down and write brilliantly without any effort.
Sure, some people do have a way with words but in our experience the harder you work the greater your results and some of the greatest writers we have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with have continually proved this to us.
We’ve put together a DIY kit of writers’ tools in our library. We’ll continue to add tips and tools, advice and guides to help you develop your craft and continue to up-skill.
Enjoy the journey.
