Emma Walsh is the founder of The Literary Professionals.
Emma has worked in the books and publishing industry for over 20 years as a literary festival director, book publicist, marketing manager, reader, literary agent, writer, reviewer, programme manager and sponsorship portfolio manager.
Emma has a Bachelor of Arts in English and Philosophy, a Master of Arts in American Literature and Modern English (both from University College Dublin) and an IAPI Diploma in Marketing and Advertising.
She is an associate member of Publishing Ireland and a member of the Chartered Institute of Editors and Proofreaders.
From 2011-2015 Emma developed and managed a portfolio of literary sponsorships for Bord Gais Energy. These included: The Bord Gáis Energy Irish Book Awards, Bookshop of the Year Award, the Book Club on Ireland AM and the BGE book club.

Emma is a regular contributor to print, radio and television on topics related to books and publishing and gives talks and workshops on various industry-related subjects throughout the country.
